I'm currently working on a few different series of pieces with multiple but interloping/intersecting themes. This is one from a series I call "The Curse of Vision". I was "inspired" if you will, by a terrifying thought I had during a ketamine infusion (I highly recommend them for depression btw) of what it might be like to be the "opposite of blind", if that makes sense. Essentially, to not be able to NOT see, even with eyes shut, or without eyes altogether. Some characters even go as far as to intentionally blind themselves to rid themselves of the "curse", (though without success). The visions that the characters suffer vary in content and intensity, but as a whole are uncomfortable enough to justify the extreme actions taken by them to potentially rid themselves of their constant visions. Some even seek out a possible elder or religious figure to provide some sort of guidance, or at the very least someone that can possibly talk them through the nightmare that is their existence.
